Avellana

Avellana is a 1,000-square-feet residence in Andheri West, Mumbai, designed through the seamless merging of two neighboring flats occupied by the same family for over twenty-five years. Rather than erasing the home’s history, the design preserves its emotional essence while creating a cohesive environment defined by earthy tones, soft curves and fluid spatial transitions. At the heart of the home is a centrally placed kitchen with a rounded terrazzo island and cobbled flooring that visually connects the social and private spaces.

The living areas embrace warmth and calm through layered neutral palettes, sculptural detailing and integrated storage solutions. Each bedroom is designed with its own distinct material identity, featuring custom-crafted elements, rich textures and carefully balanced tones. Natural materials such as cane, boucle, linen and stone enhance the tactile experience throughout the home, resulting in a timeless and deeply personal living environment.
